PEARL HARBOUR

No trip to Oahu would be complete without a visit to Pearl Harbour, one of the most visited sights in Hawaii.

Visit the place where World War II began and ended, stand on the decks of the Arizona Memorial then why not travel across the Ford Island Bridge and take a guided tour of the battleship Missouri?
Other attractions in this area include the Pacific Aviation museum great for history Enthusiasts and those who enjoy learning by experiences then a go on one of the flight simulators are definitely not to be missed. Enjoy flying a choice of Japanese Mitsubishi or US Wildcat in combat. For the more advanced players the experience of the challenge of WWII is not to be missed!
The USS Dowfin Submarine Museum is where you can enjoy a walkman style guided tour around the submarines. If you get tired and fancy a rest then mini theatre is a good resting stop, enjoy submarine videos till your hearts content.
If you have the energy after resting then a visit to the National Memorial Cemetery is for those interested in the history of the graves, as 776 casualties pearl harbour were first to be buried here. Built in 1948 this wonderful peaceful place is also a great camera stop as the view from the punchbowl encompasses the city of Honolulu from Waikiki to Pearl Harbour!

WAIKIK MUSEUM

This is an attraction you don’t want to miss! The award winning aquarium brings visitors face to fin with tropical fish, endangered Hawaiian monk seals, reef sharks, living corals and many more! Their exhibits, programs and research focus on the aquatic life of Hawaii and the tropical Pacific. The Aquarium has over 320,000 visitors each year, and has been designated the coastal ecosystem learning centre for the Pacific Island Region.

DOLE PINAPPLE MUSEUM

The Dole Pineapple Plantation is a hugely popular attraction, and is home to the world’s largest maze, officially recognized in the 1998 Guinness book of records. A visit there makes for a great day out for both adults and children. The maze is the main attraction of the plantation but there is plenty to do after you have completed the maze! Try the Pineapple express a train which takes you on a 2 mile ride of pineapple fun!
This fully narrated train tour is a fun experience for all the family, you will also learn about the history of the plantation and travel through stunning scenery of the famous north shore. Dole Plantations Educational Tour will give you the history of pineapples in Hawaii and how it has changed from the old to modern day. This attraction has over 900,000 visitors a year so a visit here will not be regretted!

POLYNISIAN CENTRE

Here you will not only learn the basic’s in Hula but also about the deeper commitments students make to their art, gain insights into the ancient Kapu and Taboo systems that made women and men eat separately. Watch how women craft leaves and flowers into beautiful Hawaiian Lei, maybe try your hand at Hawaiian checkers or Hawaiian bowling, these are just a few of the many exciting things to both do and learn about during your visit to the Polynesian centre . The centre is split up into different sections for each culture, here you will learn the history of ho the Hawaiian culture was created and by whom.

HAWAIIAN WATERS ADVENTURE PARK

If its rides, slides and oceans of excitement you want then you won’t be disappointed with this park. It is fun for all ages; attractions include hurricane bay, water world, keiki move, shaka and da flow rider. The park is set in 25 acres so allow plenty of time when visiting
HURRRICANE BAY
This is Hawaii’s only mega wave pool; it is the size of a football field which generates waves up to 4 feet for body boarding.
SHAKA
The world’s widest half-pipe great fun to found here! Relax cruising down an 800 foot long river!
KEIKA MOVE
Is an interactive children’s playground filled with water cannons, slides waterfalls and more, great for the little ones and adults alike!!!
DA FLOW RIDER

BISHOP MUSEUM

DIAMOND HEAD

Diamond head named Laeahi by the Hawaiians is the most famous volcanic crater in the world, located on the south east coast of Oahu over looking the Pacific ocean. The first people to discover this beautiful place were British sailors in the 1800’s. Diamond Head is a crater which has been extinct for 150,000 years. There is a trail path which is easy to moderate and definitely worth it for the breathtaking unparalleled view of the entire Westside of the island. The trail path takes roughly 1 ½ hours, there is a tunnel which is unlit so a torch and water is very advisable

FARMERS MARKET

No trip to Oahu would be complete without a visit to a farmers market, there are plenty to choose from and they run throughout the week and are very popular, its by far the best way to sample local produce on offer, as well as finding those perfect gifts for those back home ! not to mention the fun you’ll have whilst mingling with the locals whilst enjoying their Hawaiian hospitality .
