AIR ADVENTURES!

This is a must for all you thrill seekers out there! A doors off experience! where the doors are actually off the helicopter! You will take in views that include Mauna Loa, Volcano Kilauea at the Volcanoes National Park, rainforests, waterfalls and macadamia nut farms! All four passengers get a window seat for this 45 minute adrenaline rush! When you fly over the molten lava you are so close you can smell the sulphurous gases and feel the heat! This is an experience that you will definitely pass on to your grandchildren! Golf is an opportunity not to be missed, there are 18 courses available in unique settings. Most courses face enchanting views of the Pacific coastline, with ocean and mountain views, and meander around historical landmarks, or are carved out of lava flows.

GO NIGHT SWIMMING!

Why not try a new experience with a bonus! Night swimming with Manta Rays! Manta Rays are the largest of the Ray family, watch them gracefully move through the water by propelling their diamond shaped disks . Some rays weigh up to 700 pounds! If you would like to see the Rays but don’t wish to get wet you can view them from the Sheraton Kealakekua resort and spa.

Snorkel at Kealakekua Bay located on the Kona coast, roughly 12 miles south of Kailua Kona, the bay is a conservation for marine life, making it an ideal place for both snorkelling and scuba divivng. Watch out for the spinner dolphins frolicking in the bay! There are lots of boat tours on offer most provide snorkelling gear; some include lunch and beverages. Even if you don’t wish to scuba or snorkel a great day out is to be had ,it’s an important historic location too marking the death of captain cook in 1779.

WHALE WATCHING

From December through to May the Humpback whales make their annual voyage to Hawaii. The sight of a breeching humpback whale either from just over the bow of your tour boat or from the shore, the memory will stay with you and your family forever! Remember keep your camera in your hand these gentle giants weighing about a ton per foot and over 45 feet on average can take to the air at any given moment!

CATCH A WAVE OR TWO!

Whilst in Rome do as the romans! Whilst here in Hawaii do as the locals do! Try surfing or windsurfing its great fun and your guaranteed a laugh whilst trying! Or just relax and enjoy watching others from a beautiful sandy beach!

SALT WATER SWIMMING HOLE

This is one of the best hidden places on Big Island! If riding the surf isn't your scene, then the sea pool gives you the opportunity to relax and acclimatize to the waves, don’t be surprised if you’re joined by little fish!!

KAYAKING

Paddlealong at your own pace along the shore of Big Island visit the numerous coves that dot the Kohala coast, you could rent a kayak or canoe and explore on your own or take lessons and a guided tour with someone who know the best places along the coast. Which ever you choose it’ll be done at the Hawaiian pace!

KONA COFFEE

In Kona there are about 600 coffee farms so there are many tours to choose from! Visit coffee orchards and learn about the harvesting process, explore coffee mills and see how the beans are processed, why not stock up on fresh Kona coffee which has a strong aroma and very flavourful taste, making it a very popular choice of coffee indeed!
